At first, I heard Britney Spears’ “Piece of Me” Tour started off as part of her Las Vegas residency on around December 27th, 2013 to December 31st, 2017 (which was also New Year’s Even before the first day of the year 2018). That is to say, that Las Vegas residency “tour” of hers only lasted approximately four years.
And then, all of a sudden, Britney’s “Piece of Me” Tour simply came back to date, recently starting on July 12th, 2018 until September 1st, 2018 (from the United States of America to various cities across Europe).
Good thing, I was one of the “lucky” concertgoers to have ever attended one of her “Piece of Me” concert gigs, especially the one at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on July 24th, 2018. That was my first time visiting that place and I just enjoyed the hell of it. The interior design of it (Radio City Music Hall) looks fancy, including the lounges where they have the bathrooms inside and also the good-looking mirror walls.
Before going to see Britney Spears “live,” I knew I had to get myself something to eat (in case I was hungry or I could have starved so easily). So I just decided to buy myself a pretzel (so that I would just eat it with mustard) and a cup of Jack’and'[Diet] Coke. While I was waiting, I was quick to charge my phone. That somehow happened right until Britney’s show just started. There, I was also quick to get on the seat assigned to the ticket I paid for and capture that “Britney” moment while relaxing and enjoying the show.
Frankly, I started discovering Britney Spears’ music during my childhood. You know, I used to have Britney’s 2001 album back then – still, I have In The Zone album to prove it!
Speaking of Britney’s “Piece of Me” tour gig at Radio City, I also sensed the iconic moment that she remembered with another “Queen of Pop” named Madonna. That reminds me of one of Britney’s notable songs, “Me Against the Music” (featuring Madonna), and the fact is that both Madonna and Britney have the same nickname: “Queen of Pop” (Madonna got it first since the ’80s, and then Britney in the ’90s). Pretty obvious, ain’t it?
Unfortunately, I didn’t even purchase the VIP Meet-and-Greet package for Britney’s “Piece of Me” Tour for some reasons.
- That was, like, SUPER expensive because it was only priced at around $2,100+, according to the January 27th, 2018 Inquisitr article.
- I would LOVE to meet Britney in person [and I believed that she seemed to be nice to me], but I was well aware of the fact that Britney never wanted fans to hug her, or to even put their arms around her; and that the entire meet-and-greet moment with Britney would only last a few seconds (or less), as reported in the September 11th, 2018 Bops & Bangers article. This makes me feel bad because I understand that I always want to respect her as well as her “well-being.”
I have no words to say, but, after going to a Britney Spears concert like this, my childhood dream has been fulfilled.
Is killing me and I
I must confess
I still believe, still believe
When I’m not with you, I lose my mind
Give me a sign
Hit me, baby, one more time”
~ Britney Spears, “…Baby One More Time”
